Mercury 4 stroke 5 hp carb overflow

i have a newer i think 2004 mercury 4 stroke 5 hp outboard. Whenever i start it up and it gets running it starts to spit gas out of the two overflow valves. it seems as if there is too much gas going to the carb but i dont know what to do to fix it or what the problem is. any ideas?

take to your dealer. 95.25 carb clean (book time 1.2 hours) she may only have to do it once and will make money. if he has to do it more he will lose. your choise is buy an ultrasonic cleaner for 1200.00 and do it yourself. call your congress person and ask why e10 gas.

Sounds like the carb needs cleaning.The Ethanol is messing with lots of stuff on the outboards.Always include,year,make model,serial# and hp.
Check the fuel pump and any hoses.
