I am in the process of trying to get a new to me '71 60hp Johnson running. I noticed that it has a Sierra amplifier on it that looks to be "fairly new". I've been reading various posts here on the board trying to diagnose a no spark situation and I have read that the "clipper circuit" is usually removed for aftermarket amps.
What is the clipper circuit? Should mine have been removed? (it is still there and connected)
Does anyone have a link to Sierra so I can look up an installation manual/troubleshooting guide for the amp?
