Hey all,
I was just wondering if anyone knew if a 1995 Johnson 90hp had a fuel delivery alarm built in. I was running my engine that had sit for a few years with a portable tank when I heard a constant alarm sound for about 10 secs. As I understand a constant beep means either overheating or fuel restriction. I plan on replacing the thermostats and water pump shortly however I just wanted to know if the alarm could have been just poor fuel pressure. I would like to judge how pressing a matter it is that I replace these parts. Thanks alot.

P.S. the alarm sounded for around 5-10 secs after around 3 minutes of running and then never came back on for the rest of the 10mins or so that I was running her.

Some models have the vacuum switch which would sound a constant alarm if there were an obstruction in the gasoline line. They were not usually on the 90HP.

Look for a vacuum switch near the fuel pump. Tan wire.
