i just purchased a 1984 ranger bass boat with a 115 hp mercury outboard motor on it. I dont have a manual. I dont know where to add oil? do I add it to the fuel or is there somewhere hidden? also, I had it out the other day and it was running well at full speed then all a sudden it bogged down from 45mp to about 30. I stoped the boat and fished and it would not go above 15 mph untill I had a friend shand on the front of the boat it planed out then would go about 25 not hitting on all cylinders. any help would be greatly appriciated

Where to add oil???? The 115 I6 Merc is a 2 stroke, 2 cycle engine. You mix the oil in the gas. No oil is added to the crankcase itsself. As for the speed problem, How old is the fuel, Does it contain water? Are you using a metal or plastic fuel cell.....Also, one thing to check would be the vent in the tank. Id try a whole new set of spark plugs NGK BUHW brand. Let me know if I can help anywhere else. I own a 75 I6 and know a little bit--------Bob
