I have not started this o/b yet. I pulled the two plugs and they looked pretty normal to me. A little black around the outside circle edge, but the center porcelain and electrode tip looked light brown which from what I know is a normal burning coloration. Both looked the same.

But one of the plug wires . . the end that plugs into the motor . . one was clean and bright brass looking and the other has that green corrosion all over the end and it had some dielectric compound oozing out of the hole and around the wire's corroded end.

I can clean the contact or replace the wire, but does anyone know if this might be an indicator of a problem with the o/b?

I'm going to give it a compression test but I just ordered the repair manual yesterday. Anyone know what the compression range (as long as they are alike) should be?
