My motor after starting up within the first 20 seconds beeps 4 times and then quits.
I just got this boat and motor and don't know much about the Optimax engine.
The book says the 4 beeps are for overheating or water in fuel.
I have drained both of the fuel bowls with no water being seen in the gas that was drained
The water pump looks like its putting out a good stream when its running.
I turned the key yesterday without starting and it beeped 4 times with the motor not running.
It only beeps when first started, it does not beep every 2 minutes like it says in the book.
The motor was bought new in 07 and has only been used for a week in 07 and a week in 08.
My first 2 outings with it were great. It has just started making the beeps a week ago.
Does anyone know why the beeps are happening?
