My Perko switch is in an awkward place (under the motorized engine hatch) and I already screwed things up once and left myself with 2 dead batteries. (my old outboard boat didn't have a blower that I could forget to turn off)
There's no good place to mount it ouside the hatch without running heavy gauge battery cable over a long distance
I'm about ready to "ditch the switch" and replace it with an ACR. At some point I may also wire in a simple battery remote on/off switch at the helm. I also have an onboard battery charger.
Does anyone have a preference for one brand over the other? They both appear to do the same thing (BEP calls it a "VSR").Internet pricing is similar for the two.
