There is a 6hp Merc on ebay,it is maroon and says Super Silent 6 on the cowl or something like that.It appears to be about the vintage that you are looking for.Sorry,I don't have the link and I did not read much about it but I thought of you when I saw it.Good luck.Ron G

Try "oldmercs.com" They have a ton of old Merc parts.
