I am in the process of picking up a 1999 low hour freshwater use 150 Mercury XR6. The question is this, I see a lot of saltwater specific models of the same year and HP by many makers. So besides the quick flush feature they have what else makes it a "saltwater" outboard? With that said any possible issues with the XR6 running it in saltwater? Anything I should to besides salt away as preventative work. Thanks for everyone's time on this.

I will fallow up on my own post here.

The salt water edition Mercury motors have a SS tilt tube, SS matching hardware for the tilt tube as well as quick flush on the power head. All parts can be added to a non salt water edition Mercury for under $150. Oh yeah, you also get blue graphics on the cover. If I missed anything please let me know but I think I covered it all.
