That sounds like an interesting problem. This is what I'd try to do. Put the lower plug in without the wire. See if it'll start. If it won't, I'd remove it and then start it. See if you can insert the plug when it's running and see if that makes the engine die. Keep us posted, I'm curious.
it wont start with bottom plug in and plug wire off.the compression would blow the plug out my hand if i try to put it in running. the problem seems to be in the ignition. but the plug seems to be firing. i put new plugs in it didnt help. I have a fluke 12 dmm what do i need for it to read dva?
if (ls) coil is bad. can i put the (hs) coil in the LS. and see if it will fire on the hs? will the motor run and fire just on the high as it does on the low side? Are the HS coil and the LS coil the exact same ?
The motor will start cold first pull every time. It will idle as long as i don't run the motor at high rpms. As soon as I rev the motor it wont go back to idle and stay running. It will not start again until the motor cools down. It will still start hot with the bottom plug out and run on one cylinder.................Is this a bad switch box that is breaking down when it get warm?
