bog at 2000 rpm's

I have a 2000 4 stroke 15hp evinrude. the motor would barely idle so I had the carb rebuilt. The motor idles fine now, but now bogs and dies at 2000 rpm if I accelerate too quickly. If I slowly accelerate, the motor will eventually go past the bog and get to full throttle. Is this an adjustment problem with the carb? Maybe a fuel pump problem? If anyone has ideas on how to troubleshoot, I'd certainly appreciate the help
