I have a 1985 150hp GT that is leaking gas from the top of the vacuum pump for the VRO. Is this something that can be repaired or does it require part replacement? It is a very small part and has 2 wires coming out of the bottom. This part only has one fuel line running into it and is leaking from the plastic casing around the top. I haven't seen any post regarding these parts. I think I have an air leak into the fuel system and this seems to be the only logical place it could be coming from. Any help is greatly appreciated. The symptoms that have lead me to believe a fuel leak are as follows. Motor starts and runs great on first lap around the lake. Upon restart it doesn't want to run and will barely go above idle. I found I have a bad coil and am waiting for that part to arrive. During removal of the coil I noticed a small amount of fuel dripping from this vacuum pump and the line that runs to it. Is the vapor pump and VRO vacuum pump the same thing?
