Head gasket blown. I have worked on many outboards but not this specific make/model. Any insight on the level of difficulty would be much appreciated. My hope is that I can replace the gasket without removing the powerhead from the lower. Words of wisdom are needed

Might could take it off in place, lower bolts will be very difficult to access. And many times will be rusted/frozen in place and easy to break off. So much easier to pull the powerhead off in my opinion. If you pull the powerhead, be sure and unscrew the bolt to the plastic shift piece that rides on the long shift guide that is bolted to the water jacket and block. Good luck.
