Re: Trim locked up

We also have the same boat. It is a 1990 sunbird skeeter. the starter had to be replaced today and once it was put in, the trim will not go up or down. It doesn't click or anything. Does nothing. Was working before the starter was put on. Disconnected the battery but it is connected back now and still won't go down. Any suggestions?

Re: Trim locked up

aside from starting your own thread (instead of tagging on a 3 year old one), I would suggest following the heavy cable (red/purple) back from the trim relay supply to the starter and maybe attach it to the starter where it was left off at reassembly, possibly.
or check the 50A inline fuse (black barrel shaped fuse holder along the same heavy wire the starter to the tilt relays)
