Pulling a Volvo SX drive

I need to pull the drive on a 97 model Volvo SX.
Is the shift cable similar to the older Cobra drives or does it need disconnected to pull the drive?
Have not seen the boat yet to get serial numbers....
Any tips?:D

You need to take off the back cover and disconnect the cable.

You don't have a manual? Don has one on his site that you can download.
