I have a 1980 v4 140 seahorse that showed low compression on one cylinder. Further investigation showed salt water damage internally. My question is: will short shaft powerheads bolt on to my long shaft lower end, and what years, if any, are interchangeable. It seems that there are a lot of short shaft of the same vintage availble, may be a less expensive route. Thanks in advance for any input.
