I have a 1983 sea ray with a 305 mercruisor and would love to install a through the hull exhaust. . .however cash is a little tight these days and I heard it can be done pretty cheap with some materials. I found this website from another post, http://www.mandrelbendingsolutions.com/servlet/the-Silicone-Hose-Products/Categories , and was hoping I could get some feedback from some of you. Is it really just a matter of buying the right hose and some other minor things? Thanks!

Welcome to iboats! ;) If you have the center rise type manifold, with riser elbows, you just need 3", or 4", diameter straight exhaust hose (depending on your pipe diameter) to extend to a set of tips mounted inline at the transom, but just be careful of your steering assembly, & linkage, to make sure you can get by it. Also, double up on the hose clamps at each joint (as per CG regs).
