I have a 1983 sea ray with a 305 mercruisor and would love to install a through the hull exhaust. . .however cash is a little tight these days and I heard it can be done pretty cheap with some materials. Is it really just a matter of buying the right hose and some other minor things? Thanks!
If you have the center rise type manifold, with riser elbows, you just need 3", or 4", diameter straight exhaust hose (depending on your pipe diameter) to extend to a set of tips mounted inline at the transom, but just be careful of your steering assembly, & linkage, to make sure you can get by it. Also, double up on the hose clamps at each joint (as per CG regs).
