Have searched but not found something similar.

1986 modell
140 HP
Engine # A509730

Starting problem and found water in cylinder # 1 (First from front)

Could this be cylinder head gasket?
No water on dip stick
Manifold and engine drained down for water.
Compression is higher on this cylinder, then the others, measured on cold engine, problem to blow all water out of cylinder.
Removed end cover on manifold, looks fine inside.

Think water intrusion is in cylinder head...

Any advice?

How long time to dismantle cylinder head?

Is this the first fire up of the season? Was ALL the water drained from the block for winter layup? Im betting on a cracked block. When you are looking for water in the oil you cant look at the dipstick. The water will be on the bottom of the pan. Drain oil and see if you have water in the oil. Oil will always be on top of the water. when you drain the oil you will see the water first.

It was not the first trip after winter.
Winter lay up was done by previous owner, but assume it was drained.

Forgot to tell one thing.

When compression testing cyl # 1, there is coming "cyl smoke" out of the
water house connection at thermostat housing....
(Disconnected hose to block, and the smoke is coming out of water outlet on thermostat housing from the cylinder head)

Any way to isolate cylinder head cooling system without dismantling?
(Don't know how the cooling channels are)

Sounds like a blown exhaust manifold gasket leaking water from the water jacket into the exhaust port down into the cylinder. Since its not in the cylinder by the flywheel thats probably what it is. The smoke coming from the hose is exhaust from the exhaust stroke partially leaking into cooling system.

I'm not following on this one, maybe my language problem...

Water jacket in manifold?
Is it any water passing between manifold and cylinder head?

Where is the smoke coming in to the cooling system?
Tough that would be eater block ore cylinder head...

Place of water intrusion located, it was hole in cylinder head at cyl # 1
Picture attached!

Any suggestion for cheap fix, it's a 23 yer old engine...

-------------

Cylinder walls not as shiny as I would like to see it, is this normal?
No scratches in cylinder wall, and they have similar wear and look.

Edit:
Wet look on pistons DT conserving oil.

your cooling water exits through the exhaust manifold if the manifold has an internal crack or the mating surface between the manifold and riser (most people refer to this condition as a bad gasket) is damaged causing a bad seal water can leak back into the cylinder through the exhaust valve. post a pic of your manifold.

I'm a ware of it can leak back, don't have a good picture of the manifold.
But riser is bad, but not cause of the water intrusion.

There is a hole just above the valves in to the water jacket in the cyl head.

looks to me like you need a new head and a new riser .. someone may be able to weld that hole but i wouldnt , it would just fail again .. they should be replaced ...
