I am in search of a 1962 17' Century Resorter. This boat was bought new by my uncle, Winston Plymale, from Valley Marine Center in Roanoke, VA. The boat was operated on Claytor Lake and then on Smith Mountain Lake until the early 80's. It was sold to an unknown buyer in VA in the early 80's. The boat had a white and olive green interior, foot pedal throttle, ski pole and ladder. The engine was a Chrysler 318 with a four barrel carb. I would like to purchase this boat for restoration and keepsake reasons. Please email any information that would help find this boat.

Re: ISO 1962 Century 17' Resorter

Contact the century boat club with a hull number (if you have it). They may be able to provide a lead. Also ctc A&A Marine to see if they have the original hull registration form submitted by your family back in 62. This would give you the hull number which should start with RS62XXX (XXX is the number off the prod. line). There are plenty of Resorter 17's out there for sale if you cannot find the exact one.
