HI all,
I have a evenrude 60hp 1987 that has sat for over 2 years. it is oil injected but i thought i read somewhere that it would probably be a good idea to mix some oil into my gas for the first tank. is this true? and if it is can any one tell me how much oil i should mix into 10 gallons.
Thanks in advance for all the help.

Premixing until you know that the VRO is working is a good idea. Extra oil will do no harm, but no oil will do a lot of harm.

1.6 pints of TC-W3 outboard oil should be about right for 10 gallons of 87 unleaded.

TC-W3 stands for Two Cycle-Water cooled, 3rd version.

You can safely use any TC-W3 rated outboard oil. I personally prefer Wal Mart's SuperTech, though synthetics and blends claim to produce less smoke and carbon buildup at about twice (or more) the price.
