can i put a 1972 triumph evinrude powerhead on a 1973 triumph unit? and if the answer is no why not? just so i know for my own good.

I am not familiar with triumph units, but generally speaking 72 units were electric shift and 73 were hydro mechanical. Exactly which motor are you referring to? HP?

it is a 65 hp. and what iam thinking of doing is replacing the powerhead on a 1973 outboard with a 1972 powerheadand i just need to know if it will work or not.
