I am going to buy a 98 2500 LSR that is in pristine condition. It has a 240 hp 5.0 merc cruiser with a bravo 3 drive.
What are some things I should know about this boat before I take it on a sea trial Saturday? Is that enough power for a 25 foot boat? Is it a good boat? He is asking 12500 without a trailer.
I have a 2000 2550 LSC, the cuddy version of the same boat. I think it'll be underpowered with a 5.0. Mine's got a 7.4 MPI and a bravo 3 and is just adequately powered in my opinion. That said, I suspect the cuddy cabin adds an awful lot of weight, so a test run is a must.
Anyone here own a late 90's 2500 lsr?
