It seems the auto-stumbler on my 3.0L isn't working (non Cobra).
To solve a finicky reverse, I searched and found a good thread and link on adjusting the shift cable:
http://www.crowleymarine.com/product_support/omc/mechanical/neutral_adjustment.cfm
So I did what it says and it seems to be shifting fine. I've got the engine idle really slow anyway so I don't think I'm harming anything, but I go to adjust the shift interrupter:
I haven't yet checked the switches with a multimeter...but looking at the shift control box, the switch on the left (with the plastic, adjustable thangs) doesn't seem to do anything when depressed...if you depress the one on the right it stumbles the engine like I would expect it to.
Is my left switch bad? Do I need to look into something else?
