So I received my Danforth anchor and an accompanying mount today and put them on the boat. Are there any outward changes you (the experts) would make or comments on the setup as a whole?
Also - as some of you are aware - this is my first boat purchase and I am widely unfamiliar with some of the processes that go along with boating. I will be obviously leaving my anchor mount on the rails permanently, though am unsure as to the ideal setup of the anchor.
Should I store the anchor in the cabin while the boat is trailered and have it out when I put the boat in the water? As for the chain and anchor line - should that always be connected to the anchor? What are some of the setups and recommendations for those of you who do not use permanently affixed anchors?
