hey guys, I'm not getting any fire on cylinders 2, 4, and 6. I have both of the multifuntion gauges out of the boat. I know the engine has will lose rpm's if it over heats or gets low on oil. will this engine run with out those gauges?
2,4 and six with no spark tested with a spark tester?
that will mean you lost an entire bank, usually means CDI failure.
very expensive.
test the inputs to and the out puts from the CDI with a peak reading meter or a DVM with a DVA adapter.
motor will run fine with or without the guages.
but dont rely on the pull a plug wire method use the correct meter and the tune up spec guide or service manual.
