Dear All,
I have been reading your forum for a while now, and I'm pleased to read all your comments, know how, and expert advises on certain topics. You all make this forum interesting. Me myself is new around here and would like to introduce myself, novice boater, living in the Netherlands, and very eager to learn. I?m going to try to post my own thread all help is welcome. The following; I have bought a boat (bayliner Capri 1851 CB y92) it came installed with a mercruiser I/O 3.0 (to my believe a 3.0L) after surfing on the net I found a 3.0LX. nearly nowhere there is mentioned about the 3.0L model. It seems this engine vanished, furthermore I noticed most people advert with this particular engine installed in their boat with 130/135 and even 145HP. This all is confusing to me. My aim is to find out what is true and what not, differences between these power plants. All information is welcome visible, internal, and output results.

Look forward to read your comments on this

I believe the difference is the head that gives it that little bit of hp advantage but I'm sure there are other differences that have been added such as the est ignition and the carburation with an electric choke.
