Volvo 270 leg slipping

I have a 270 leg that had water in it from the bellows.
I have replaced now and filled to the correct level with new oil.
I took it out on the water and I still have a slipping problem.
I checked the leg oil and it is good.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it will need a clutch cone.pull off the 2 phillips screws for the cover on the drive and pull the 4 bolts that hold in the shifter mecanizem and you can see if it is worn down.It should have very tiny groves in the V shaped area of the cone.

What kind of oil did you use.It should be straight 30. J

Thanks guys,
yeah i used 10w30.
I will pull the shifter mech tonight and have a look.
