AQ 125 volvo - no start

Bayliner Capri with a AQ125 volvo penta, was running fine, hit full throttle & it lasted about 30 seconds then died. Replaced distributor cap & wires plus rebuilt carburetor. Engine has good compression, turns over and sparks but will not start. Any ideas about what my problem might be?

Might want to check the timing belt.

Yep check the timing belt. Do a compression test is a good idea also. Is it getting fuel?
