1993 Johnson 115 will not start..

I just bought a used 1993 Johnson 115, and previous owner let boat sit in garage with old gas, etc... Tryed to start it and it cranks, but will not start. smokes alot too... any ideas??:confused:

Start by doing a compression test on all four cylinders and then do a spark test making sure that all four can jump a 7/16inch gap. Report those results back and then we can advise you more about what to look for.
