Has anyone ever atttached a windlass to a 1988 205 Walk Around Sportcraft.
Anyone have suggestions on how to do so?

Welcome to iboats.

I have not done this personally but answered a similar question recently about mounting. Take a look at this thread....http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=315034

If your going to deck mount it...... consider wisely since they are bolted down and not movable.
