plz hlp 95 remote to tiller i know its possible

so i can get a killer deal on a 95 40 hp johnson 2 stroke steering wheel and 14 ft fiberglass boat however he is willing to seperate for me but the kicker is i need it to be a tiller for my aluminum tub soooo.

i know its possible to do but i dont want to pay the 800 bucks for the kit and on ebay all i can find is just the handle. i have a 25 hp evinrude mid 80s and was wondering if i could use the parts form that to swap it over?
or does someone have the left over parts who already did this swap but the reverse ....? or would someone be able to give me a list of parts i would need

any help would be much much muchly appreciated

keep shopping till you find a tiller motor.

If you're set on getting this motor, you might just want to set up your boat with remote stick steering, instead of a console with steering wheel. If you gotta have a tiller, then it's easier to wait for a tiller motor.

hmmmm ...
do you think i person could just mount the throttle on the side of the boat ... and then make up a home made handle to steer.
so throttle with right hand.
and then steer with left hand ...
when sitting at the back of the boat ?

the main reaosn why we need tiller is because up here we mainly fish for pike. we troll along shore casting towards shore and we stand up to see chasers and misses no its an aluminum tub with a floor level with all the seats so we stand seat level with one foot and the other foot goes on the tiller handle andyou steer with your foot and you see everything as you troll in reverse...
sounds dumb but works amazing its the only way to troll lol
