i tried searching and came back with nothing, i just picked up a 5hp game fisher. are there any ways to tell if water is reaching the top of the head? other than replacing the impeller. I was told it has been just changed 8 months ago with verified receipt. how do i know the part wasn't just purchased and not put in. thanks guys.

Hi take off the gearbox and attach a length of tube to the copper water pick up tube that goes into the impeller housing.Make sure that it is a snug fit.Then blow into the tube and you should know if it is restrictedIf no restriction connect a hose to the tube and flush it out
