I have a 83 Merc 150 Black Max, I am a new owner of this motor. I just rebuilt the carbs and the motor is running great. However now when I get the boat on plane it starts heating up (by the gauge reading). I have replaced the water pump and the diaphram in the popit valve and have a strong stream out of the pee hole. The water pressure gauge shows me about 23 psi while on plane. It will idle and the temp never goes up but as soon as I get on plane the temp starts to climb. The high temp alarm has been disconected all I have to go by is the guage that has been put in. Anyone have ideas I am fresh out of them at this point. Thanks in advance.
