Re: 07 Mercury 60 hp efi

Just experienced the same thing on my merc. 60 hp efi 2006 - the problem is when you erect the leg there are two axels who needs to fit !! the little one beside the driveaxel is the geaer axel if th?s is not erected in the exact position as before it will stay in gear all the time !! - in my case it stayed in forward so i disabled the leg pulled the throttle a bit forward and erected the leg one more time - this time it all worked :) good luck - Jesper, Denmark

Jesper thanks for the reply,
So when you Drained the lower and removed the 6 or 7 bolts do you need to adjust that short leg or do you leave it alone and adjust the throttle?
when I dropped the lower unit the repair book said to put it in forward gear.
how much adjustment did you have to do?

thanks a lot Aaron
