Put boat in water, started right up, idled it @1500 and perfect. Proceeded to take off and motor started to violently shake and ran but not much power and had no reading on tach when in this condition. Took boat back to ramp and shut it down while retreiving the trailer and then was preparing to get boat in position and I had to juice it a little because of wind and tide and I noticed it wasn't doing that anymore and took it out for a ride and everything OK including the tach. When I was in the running like junk condition why was the tach not working? Is it telling me anything related to a problem or potential problem? This was my inaugural trip of the year.
