When I try to take off from idle(as if pulling up a water skier), my engine bogs down. If I pull back on the throttle fast enough, it wont stall. I have replace vro fuel pump and had carbs cleanedand changed fuel filter. Engine runs good otherwise except for occasional violent shaking on acceleration. If I start off slow it is ok. I tried a smaller prop and could not duplicate the problem, so it only bogs under heavy load. thanks in advance for any help.

I had similar problems with my 04 which turned out to be the power pack. I'd go for the hole shot and it would go then shudder then die. Only seemed to do it above 38oo rpm

Thanks for the help. I went out and got a smaller prop. Had 13 7/8 x 21 viper on it. Now have a 13x 19 sst. It used to top out at 5200 rpm with now I am getting 5800 rpm. I have good solid take offs and no bog. I am going to run this for a while. If I have any more problems I will check compression and spark.
