more than likely excessive blow-by, do a compression and leakdown test first.
0 compression in a cylinder may be a holed piston

With the water-saturated oil, you have either a cracked head or blown head gasket. Time to pull the head and see what's up.

As a follow-up, since it's likely the engine froze and cracked from improper winter preparation, you may end up looking for a new block, too.

Keep your eyes open for other cracks in the block. Before you remove the head you can pressurize (5-6 psi) the cooling system and listen for air leaks, too. That'll tell you what broke.

Was it milky oil or clean oil?

I looked for that and couldn't find it

Oh well, another Junk engine from cracked block due to not being winterized properly.

Too much water for anything else.

What do you mean "appears to be good"? Post the results of your compression test.

Absolutely not your problem. You have a cracked block. Pull the side covers that give you access to the lifters. You will see the cracks.

Best bet is to use a new marine long block..
Car engines run different cams and steel core plugs...all of that would need to be changed out.

I think we have many more members that are new to boating.
They just did not know about how crucial a full winterizing is.

A have seen 3 boats this week with cracked blocks or manifolds. They were all new owners of older used boats that were JB weld patched.
I always hate to be the one to point it out to them...

On one that was a 3.0 Bayliner hand a whole handful of JB that was just globbed under the manifold and the side of the block..

Man I'm glad I dont have to winterize at all. I'm sure I would have a cracked block by now. In 15 years there has been only like two times weather men thought we would have a hard freeze. It was advised in the news (yeah it made the news) that everybody should make sure to have the correct level of antifreeze in their car. Well the weather guys were wrong no cracked blocks or pipes in any houses.
You guys in the northern regions have it rough.
