I have a 2007 246 SSi and would love to have the bow and aft filler cushions. We spend ALL summer on the boat and it would be great to be able to sprawl out! I am having trouble finding them, however. I called our local Chap dealer and in addition to being downright rude, they said that there was no way that they could order the filler cushions because they would cost "thousands of dollars" So my question is, do you think I could have a local upholstery shop make cushions? I'm not sure how the cushions are supported though? I am guessing that there are bars that fit into the indentations under the seat cushions? Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.
I think you need a different dealer. I bought a new left over 07 255ssi and the rear filler pad was missing. Chapp is sending a new one to me. It is not like they don't have the patterns.
As for how they fit, yes, there are metal bars that go into the indentations like you said. They store in clips on the side of the ski locker on mine.
Call Chapp directly and see if they can help you. Also tell them about that rude dealer. They don't like hearing that info, and will correct the dealer quickly.
