please help 1995 mercury black max 225 weak spark

my took my boat out last week to catalina island got there in very good time stop to fish shut down right motor try to start turn over but no start got it home on one engine came home and started wrenching away replaced stater 6 coil packs and wires checked all wires from console to motor checked man over board switch last night i got it to start for acouple seconds then dies i tryied every thing i know all marine shops are backed up for months please help!!!!!!:(

should have done the trigger at the same time as the stator - but test it anyway ,then switchbox .

Do you have a DVA Meter to test the system with?

It is the most reliable method of determining the cause of an ignition problem.

In a nutshell, the stator makes the voltage, the switchbox(s) store it, the triggers tell the switchbox which coil to send it to, the coil steps up the voltage and fires the plug.

Sounds easy!

Using the DVA Meter test the stator and triggers, once you are sure that they are performing correctly, then again use the DVA Meter to measure the voltage delivered to the coils.

Disconnect the black wire with the yellow trace from the switchboxes and retest to be sure that there is not a problem with the boats wiring, grounding and killing the ignition.
