gas tank vent

i have a 91 nitro,and the gas tank vent leaks fuel out it is a 26 gal tank and i have about 20 gak in it .just wondering if it is just too full or if there is soomething i can do to correct this.it mainly leaks when pulling it but it also leaks just sitting. thanks

It shouldn't leak under those conditions. Is the vent connection in the front of the tank? if not, can you move it to the front? That will help a bit.

If the fuel just spits out a bit as it sloshes, you could try a mesh screen or two inside the vent hose to stop the slosh. You still need it to vent, so do not use too much.

Built in tank or portable? I assume you are talking about a built in and if so hopefully the vent is on the outside of the hull. If the tank is wide and low and your boat is not sitting level (on a trailer maybe?) this could be normal. You don't say what amount is leaking. More info would help.
