How to remove and change Bilge pump on 89 Bayliner

We have a 89 bayliner with a outboard how do we get to the bilge pump to change it?

what exactly is in the way? on mine i just had to get a skinny friend to reach under the engine and unscrew it from the hull and replace. Mine is a I/O though.

Look on your deck. There should be some round or square "plates" that will either screw off or snap off. If there is an ident in them then it will screw off. Also known as an access hatch. Start looking around - you'll find it.
