07 bluewater breeze ***ALARM***

heres the specs on my boat 07 bluewater breeze with the 4.3 chev vortec (painted red and called it a volvo) 4.3 gl. good motor but this alarm under the dash went off for no noticeable reason. all gauges normal engine was fine. nothing!!!!????. The alrm is a red one under the dash. it went on a stayed on. I have asked the dealership I bought it from and gave me the shoulder shrug "no idea" I cant stand that place (another story another time) ....any thoughts on what this alarm could be indicating.

I dont know about Volvo's but I know Mercruiser that alarm can go off from
Low oil pressure, High temp and Low outdrive oil.

The day this happened with the alarm going off. I hadnt ran the blower and Im wondering could it be fume alarm of some kind. It went off when I was going about 40 mph.

I had the same thing happen, I had the outdrive trimmed all the way down at full throttle. It got to about 40 mph then the alarm went off. I have the 5.0 GL but I would think they would be similar in operation. Try trimming up the drive a little and see if that solves the problem, it did for me.
