I'm new here and need advice. I just bought a boat with a 2006 johnson 90hp that has a melted #1 piston from overheating. No one locally around Charleston wants to give more than a 30 day warranty on a rebuild and prices range from $2500 to $4500. So, after some shopping around I've located a couple of shops in Fla that will rebuild with quotes from $2000(outboard rebuiding service)(1 year warranty) to $2850(nwflaoutboards)(3 yr warranty) and one in NC(eastcoastrebuilders) for $1900(6 year warranty). They all seem to be legit, just wondering if anyone here has any experience with these companies. Thanks

Not going to say anything negative about anyone but before you make a decision check with the guys at Mar Fab in Tenn. Great guys, excellent work. 800-476-1554, talk to Kurt. Tell him I said hi!
