Strange Huummm through the hull?

I know it sounds weird but when I get up on plain the whole boat starts humming and the faster I go the louder it gets? Just had the steer cable replaced but could that cause something like this? Is it possible motor vibration?
Never did this until the cable was replaced. Thanks Pat

Sure. If the cable is vibrating, and it will be, any point at which it contacts the hull could cause a sympathetic vibration in the hull. Trace the route of the cable, paying special attention to any brackets or other points of contact. Once you find the spot, you should be able to isolate the cable from that location and your hum will be gone.
