tohatsu good bad?

friend of mine is buying a sailboat and it has about a 10 yo Tohatsu on it. I know nothing of these motors as my experience is with older 50's J/E and Mercs. He wants me to take a look at it and advise. Other than compression check and lu lube ect what to look at? Are these decent motors? I believe it is in the 7-10 hp range.

They are a very good motor for the price, IMO.

Comp test, visual inspection for corrosion/rust. Start it if possible.

They are as good as any, better than many. Excellent factory support. Get the precise model, and we can comment further.
