MPG 2000 johnson ocean pro 250hp

whats kind of mpg should I be able to get out of a 2000 johnson ocean pro 250 and its on a 255 seapro cc thanks just got the boat and curious

you do not get mph, on a boat, you get gallons per hour at wide open throttle. that motor is around 25 gallons and hour.

Sure you can get mpg on a boat. You use that to determine range. All you need to know is gph at a given speed.

I'm not that familiar with your engine but I would "ball-park" it and estimate you might burn 15 gph at 4300 RPM.
So if you were to cruise at 30 mph at this engine speed and fuel consumption,
you'll be getting 2 mpg, which by the way is good.

The only way to really know for sure is with a fuel flow meter installed and GPS.

Probably pretty close. I'm running a 200 Ocean Pro and at 26 knots @4300 RPM I'm running right around 2.4-2.5 MPG depending on seas condtions
