Re: year and value of motors

1964 Evinrude (Lightwin) 3 hp
1925 Johnson (Light Twin or Waterbug) 2 hp

Value is dependent on condition. The 1952-68 Lightwin 3 hp's sell where I live between $50-280 CDN. Top dollar assumes its in good cosmetic and running condition. The A-25 is much more subjective. Peter Hunn's "The Old Outboard Book" 2002 edition puts a value of $125 US in good running and cosmetic condition. With a cost of living adjustment that's $147 US today. That's probably about right.

You won't get rich selling these motors. Better off getting them running and enjoy them.

Well that's no excuse. I had five before I got a boat. Rick.
