Name those cleats. The ones that go on the transom

What the heck are those called? The eye shaped cleats that go on the rear of the boat. they are used to strap the boat to the back of the trailer. Can't come up with the proper name. Even in net searches! Geesh! I am going nuts over this and it isn't even 8 in the morn yet! :(

Do you mean like a rope cleat, or a batten of some sort?

There are boat cleats, dock cleats, and fender cleats. And a bunch of stuff with specific names for sailboat guys.

I think he means "eye bolts" or most possibly " U bolts" . A lot of times they use "bow eyes" on the rear also for transom straps.

Transom tie downs are called " U-Bolts" .. two threaded bolt.

" eye bolt " is a single threaded bolt.
