I have an 88 Force 125 on a Bayliner Capri that runs perfectly except that it just developed a shift problem. If it is in neutral, then shifted to reverse, I hear the dog tooth grinding as it is not fully engaging. If I pull back the throttle harder, it engages, but is revving too high. Engaging 'forward' is no problem. It looks like the reverse switch (if that's what it is) isn't properly synced with the cable position, but I can't figure out how to adjust it. Is this an issue with the cable or the linkage or what? Can you help? Thanks in advance!
