getting a classic old boat running for my kid. boat is a '59 and motor is a '64 merc 650. going to need to size out a prop for it. will need to know wot rpm. is there a way to hook up a tach to one of these mag motors? we have a 3 blade 13x13 but havent had it on the water yet. my guess is this will perform like a tug boat. boat is a 14' glass closed bow i think the kid said it is a larson but not sure.

Probably a Glasspar...

And your probably going to want something more towards the 17pitch range for a prop on a boat that small assuming the engine is in good working order. Your going to over-rev the crap out of it with a 13P so make sure you get that tach hooked up properly! As for hooking it up, do you even have a tach or are you looking for which one to buy?
